The Rapid Eye Check program is extremely effective in detecting drug and alcohol abuse in the workplace. With these skills a company can maintain an ongoing, full time screening program in addition to a random or one-time pre-employment testing program. Supervisors will learn to recognize and deal with drug abuse issues in the workplace in a non-invasive and non-confrontational way to maintain employee morale.

Rapid Eye Check is a fast and cost-effective training program. Only those that fail the Rapid Eye Check need be subject to reasonable suspicion body fluid testing. When a supervisor is certified in this technique, it saves the company money on unnecessary reasonable suspicion testing, it eliminates the risk of discrimination pleas, and allows for speedy intervention when substance abuse endangers the safety of the workplace.

This program is a tool to help you reduce labor and insurance costs. Rapid Eye Check is approved for 3.5 re-certification hours towards PHR, SPHR, and GPHR.

This course will give you the tools to train Designated Employer Representatives (DERs) in the Department of Transportation’s (DOT) regulations for drug and alcohol testing. This training will help employer and trainers:

  • Ensure full compliance with DOT-mandated drug and alcohol testing processes, rules and regulations.
  • Meet industry standards of professionalism, accountability, and ethical behavior.

  • Learn more about the DER’s relationship with others in the testing process, including C/TPAs, collectors, MROs, EAPs, laboratory personnel, and SAPs.
  • Better serve employees by being knowledgeable about the entire drug and alcohol testing process.
  • Learn the differences in testing procedures for each transportation mode.
